Mining, Faith, and the Future of Green Technology
Amidst our collective energy transition away from fossil fuels, demand for transitional minerals is rapidly increasing. Given widespread practices of mining, especially on Indigenous lands, how are people of faith and conscience called to respond?
This webinar, co-sponsored by the Western State Affiliates of Interfaith Power and Light and national IPL, included Pat Gonzales-Rogers, Executive Fellow at Yale Center for Environmental Justice and Clara Sims, Assistant Executive Director at NM-IPL. Participants learned about the landscape of mining in the United States, and we heard from panelists who hold a range of expertise on issues of extractivism.
